The purpose of this Organization shall be to encourage the growth of the religion and to expound the philosophy of Spiritualism.

 

To this end, the Organization pledges to establish and promote religious programs, as well as programs of public information, education and scientific research.

 

To accomplish these purposes, the Organization may solicit, receive and borrow, with or without security, real and personal property, including funds by way of gifts, contributions and subscriptions. It may administer, hold convey, transfer, disburse, lend and sell the same for such religious, charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes as are permitted by Section 501 C (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States as it now exists and as hereafter amended, and no assets of this Organization shall insure to the benefit of any private individual.

 

Upon dissolution of this Organization, any remaining assets shall be transferred only to an organization having like religious, charitable, literary, scientific and educational purposes or to the parent organization itself, as determined by the remaining Board of Directors of this outgoing Organization, by a two-thirds affirmative vote, and as is permitted by Section 501 C (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States. No assets shall be conveyed or distributed to any individual or organization created or operated for profit.
