The committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman, to prepare a list of nominees to fill each of the vacancies of the offices on the Board of Directors occurring in the current year. The committee shall furnish such list to the Board of Directors at least thirty (30) days in advance of the annual meeting, and the report of the Nominating Committee shall be included in the notice of the annual meeting sent to the members of the Association. Other nominations may be made from the floor at the annual meeting, but no person so nominated shall be voted upon unless such nominee shall indicate his or her acceptance of the nomination either in person or in writing filed with the President.

Sec. 2.) Other committees may be created by resolution of the Board of Directors. Except as otherwise provided in such resolution, members of each committee shall be members in good standing of the Association and shall be appointed by the President. One member of each committee shall be appointed Chairman by the person or persons authorized to appoint the members thereof. Any member thereof may be removed by the person or persons authorized to appoint such member whenever in their judgment the best interests of the Association shall be served by such removal.

ARTICLE IX

CHECKS, DEPOSITS AND FUNDS

Sec. 1.) The Board of Directors may authorize any officer or officers, agent or agents of the Association in addition to the officers as authorized by these By-Laws, to enter into any contract or execute and deliver any instruments in the name of specific instances. Any such contract, instrument, or expenditure totaling $1,000.00 or more must receive membership approval before being entered into.

Sec. 2.) All checks, drafts or orders for payment of money, notes or other evidences of indebtedness issued in the name of the Association, shall be signed by such officer or officers, agent or agents of the Association and in such manner as shall from time to time be determined by resolution of the Board of Directors, such instruments shall be signed by the Treasurer of the Association. All such items totaling $1,000.00 or more must be approved by the membership (see ART VIII, sec 1).
