FIELD OF FLOWERS

Now let us put our hymnals aside and anything that may disturb us.

Begin by getting comfortable in your seats
perhaps with your feet flat on the floor and

your hands resting in your lap in a palms up receiving position,
and then gently closing your eyes.

 

Take a few slow deep breaths.

Let your breathing be natural, perhaps a little slower, perhaps a little deeper, but not forced
    just a quiet, relaxed, calm breathing,
    in and out, in and out.

Feel the gravity pulling on you as your are able to just let go.
    Feel yourself sinking deeper into your chair.

Letting go of all the tension, the thoughts, the old behaviours that keep you bound.
    Give yourself permission to step away.

Leaving behind the past ... and the present, for just a little while.

Now begin to imagine yourself surrounded on all sides by a soft golden spiritual light.

Imagine a waterfall of this warm golden spiritual light a few feet above your head.

Feel it's gentle, loving, warmth as it cascades around you

And begin to feel it flowing into you through the crown chakra at the top of your head.

As it flows into you, feel its healing golden spiritual light pour through you, into your face and neck...into your arms and chest...into your heart...pouring down through your stomach and legs and feet until your whole body becomes part of the waterfall of golden healing spiritual light.

Bathe in this light for a few moments.

Feel it’s healing warmth flowing through every part of you. Feel it flow from the top of your head, down through your body, out through the bottom of your feet and into the ground far below.

Know that in experiencing this healing golden spiritual light pouring into you, you allow the loving, healing forces of the universe into you, to help you be whole, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Feel the beauty, and the peacefulness, and the health that is in you, and know that at all times you can be at one with yourself, with god, and with the universe.

This is your quiet time,
    A time of relaxation, of peaceful, secure serenity,
    when time becomes no more, there is only the here and now.

Saying quietly to yourself:
    I am relaxed.
      I am at peace.
        I just AM.

Take a few moments now to rest in the flow of healing golden light, and in the sound of the music.

In your mind's eye, you find yourself at the top of a little rise in the middle of a grassy meadow.
    The air is fresh and clear.
    The sun is shining overhead.
    There's a warm breeze passing from right to left.

You are relaxed, you feel safe and secure.
    You are at peace.

In front of you are several paths.
    Choose one and begin to follow it.
      Don't worry about the other paths,
      you may take them at another time.

The path you choose leads down through the grassy field.
    This is a truly magical path,
    You begin to encounter many things as you walk along it.

You come up to a wild red rose bush.
    You admire it's beauty, you smell the beautiful aroma,
    you even taste the drop of dew on one of the petals,
    you test the sharpness of the thorns, and then you walk on.

Going a little way further, you come to a stand of orange tiger lilies.
    The petals are a brilliant orange, you pause and admire its beauty.
    Touch one and feel the texture of its petals, and then walk on.

Now you come up to a patch of beautiful yellow buttercups.
    You watch as several bees flit from one flower to the next,
    you admire the delicate beauty of the deep yellow flowers, and pass on.

You come to the edge of a large grove of pine trees.
    You smell the fresh pine in the air
    You admire the strength of the green boughs and the delicacy of their needles.
    You pick up a pine cone from under a tree and feel how rough it is to the touch.

You notice the sun filtering down through the tree tops, warming your face as you look up.
    You are relaxed and completely at peace.

Leaving the grove, you come upon a small stream.
    You can see the light blue of the fresh water as it tumbles over a small formation of rocks.
    You cup your hands and take a cool refreshing drink of the pure mountain water.
    You pause for a moment to listen to the happy gurgling sound the stream makes as it flows along.
    You find a spot where it's narrow enough for you to step over, and you do.

On the other side of the little stream, you come upon some wild orchids.
    They are indigo in color, a deep midnight blue.
    Your admire their beauty, you smell their scent in the air,
    You marvel at the delicate features of their petals, and pass on.

As you follow along the stream you come to a little field of violets,
    A very delicate light purple in color.
    You pause in awe of their wild beauty, and deeply inhale their fragrance.

You continue to follow the little stream as it gradually begins to widen.
    You see a small bridge up ahead, and when you get to it, slowly cross over, pausing in the middle
    Looking back on the magnificent splendour of the scene you have just passed through.

When you get to the other side,
    You see an old oak tree near the bank of a quiet pool, out of the main course of the stream.
    You sit down on the soft grass in from of the tree, leaning back against its trunk.
    You look down and see some pebbles at your feet.
    You pick up a few and toss them one by one into the water.
    Notice how they create ripples that radiate out in all directions.

You reflect this is the way you are, radiating thoughts to all you meet.
    You decide to choose more carefully now, what thoughts you wish to radiate.
    Let them be thoughts of peace and love, understanding and harmony.

As you lean back now against the old oak tree, you take this quiet time
    to reflect on the oneness you feel with your surroundings.

You listen to the music and just quietly absorb the healing energies you feel around you.

And now, with a silent word of thanks to the Almighty in gratitude for these few moments of serenity and peace, you prepare to return to the here and now with a renewed sense of commitment to your path of spiritual enlightenment, and a feeling of being refreshed physically, mentally and emotionally, ready to face the coming days of the week, with renewed vigour and determination.

Opening your eyes now, feeling fine and in perfect health, much better than before.
