Dear Members and Friends,

January seemed to come and go in a flash. February is already upon us, and I feel the posibility that there's change in the air! Think possitive and stay strong!

This month we will be having a Workshop (Mediumship Development) on Saturday the 8th from 10:30am to 12:00pm. And on Saturday the 22nd we are looking forward to the first "Saturday Morning Demonstration of Mediumship" this year, from 10:30am to 12:00pm. For more information about either of these events please see below under "February Events" Thank you.

I'm pleased to say that most of our members have continued their support and membership for 2025. We have also managed to add a few new members last year which is wonderful. For those of you who wish to renew your memberships, or become new members, please click this link: Membership. Thank you!

Already we are entering February, the name comes from the latin word Februa - "To cleanse" whilst the Roman Calendar month of Februarius was named Februalia, "A festival of purification and atonement." The resolutions made in January have now slipped into obscurity and our well meant words of change seem to have moved off course. Even with the best will in the world, the temptations of life in this day and age are often too much to avoid. So what do we do? When we uttered those words,we truly

meant what we said, and now feel that yet again we have made mistakes. In our minds we try to erase the mistakes of the past, but we are missing the real reason we chose to come and experience a physical life.

Each one of us is searching for the truth and the reality of life, and in doing so we come across many obstacles which at times are confusing our reason. Rumi the Sufi said "Keep the company of those who seek the truth, run away from those who have found it." In this world there are many different religions, each of them believes that they have found their truth in the teachings of a Prophet or Master. Within many religious books we can find an element of acceptance and often that acceptance leads to a deep seated faith. Faith is often questionable and doesn't always bring reality. A physicist when asked "What is reality?" said "Reality is that which when you have stopped believing in it, doesn't go away".

And so the search goes on and during each day we will make mistakes, some of which may be hurtful when directed at someone who confesses to knowing everything. From each mistake we have the opportunity to make amends, yet we often erase them from our mind. The feeling of guilt sweeps over us and we make decisions that can harm the journey of our soul. However, if we erase all of the mistakes of our past then we close the door to the wisdom of our present.

Our beautiful planet is experiencing terrible problems and often when we see the tit-for-tat reactions of politicians, we find ourselves asking, "Does the end justify the means?" or doing wrong for the sake of right, again is that the answer? Everyone yearns for peace but in realitythere is often a price to pay for this precious commodity. Most people question "Why

am I here, and what is my true purpose whilst here on this earth plane? It is a question that mankind has been asking since as a human being he has attained intelligence. Spiritualism allows us to continually seek and question the true reality of this life, and what it leads to when this task has finished its purpose here. We believe that each person is here to learn from the mistakes and injustices of life, and to accept them as an opportunity to learn and grow, with wisdom being the result of all of our mistakes.

As life goes on, let us make our resolution to reach out to those who have little or no trust in life and try to help them find a truth which will bring meaning to their lives in this world of matter.
