As April unfolds with its gentle breezes and blossoming trees, we are reminded that peace often begins in the quiet spaces of our hearts. This month, let us embrace moments of stillness, offering prayers not only for ourselves but for the world around us.

Peace is not just the absence of conflict—it is the presence of understanding, compassion, and kindness. Whether through meditation, mindful breathing, or a simple pause in your day, let your actions be a prayer for harmony.

April Prayer for Peace: May our words be gentle, our thoughts be kind, and our hearts be open to the needs of all living beings. Let peace flow through us, like rivers to the sea.

May this month be a gentle reminder that peace begins with us—and that even the smallest prayer can ripple outward in ways we may never see. With warmth and hope.

It's not difficult to see that most people in today's world are more interested in increasing their material possessions than achieving spiritual greatness.

 

We live in a worrying time when the imbalance of not only our society's and our wellbeing are being affected, but most of all our understanding of what life is all about. Spirituality does not deny us some of the things that make our lives easier but try to help us think of our spiritual progress through this life and beyond. Today it seems that we are being manipulated by

those whose intentions are to promise all of us material wealth. This is fine if we are all in the dream state, but reality is far more important than monetary gain. Don't we all at times wish for our bank balance to expand by having the winning ticket on the lottery. However, the chance of that materializing is millions to one. It costs us nothing to expand our spiritual awareness, except our time and dedication, and doing that will take us beyond material gain to spiritual-to-spiritual advancement.

We all understand that we need money to live our material lives, especially at this time when goods for everyday living are going beyond the reach of many. Wealth doesn't assure us of happiness when used for the wrong purpose, it can influence some who display a great influence in our societies at the cost of mental difficulties throughout their young lives. Spiritual awareness seems to have been neglected by those whose only concern is material gain at any cost. The value of human life is of no

concern to those who sit in expensive offices and plan the future of our lives with no connection to their true purpose in this life. Even some religious leaders miss use the responsibility placed upon them by all who look for spiritual guidance and materialize their desires with need for monetary gain. Today we have wars in different parts of our world and all for gaining wealth from those nations that, as we say, keep our world turning. Killing men and women through sending them to unnecessary battles shows no responsibility in their small minds, and they often dismiss it with "It is their duty to defend their nation."

I have used these words before by Bertrand Russell, "War does not define who is right, Only those who are left." Let us hope that common sense will take on those who would continue with their nonsensical approach to life and replace their much-maligned thoughts with spiritual knowledge and true leadership. Oscar Wilde said: "There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it." Let us hope that our world becomes more spiritual in the very near future.
